Stephanie Ross grew up in Chicago, IL where she attended medical school at Rush Medical College. Prior to entering medicine, she spent two and a half years in the Peace Corps in Tanzania teaching biology and collaborating to establish a school library. During medical school, she rotated in Rwanda and Panama where she learned about the treatment of HIV and assisted with the initiation of research project studying toxoplasmosis. She attended residency in Miami, FL worked to develop a global health track curriculum to educate medical residents on the history, ethics, and practice of global health. She loves working with diverse communities and being challenged to navigate cultural and societal barriers. In her free time, she enjoys practicing her Spanish, planning long hikes and kayaking around the bay.
