William is currently an undergraduate student at the University of California, Berkeley, studying Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Biochemistry. Throughout his high school and college career, he was involved with various student organizations dedicated to serving the community. An example is his initiative to establish his high school’s first-ever library since its founding, through opening a club to bring dedicated students together to make this hope a reality. From experiences like this, he continues to refine and practice his leadership, communication, and organizational skills to better prepare himself for the professional world.

William is excited to join the UCSF HEAL Initiative as a Summer Programs Intern! He hopes to work alongside the organization to support the training of health professionals worldwide by participating in their various summer programs. Through his different experiences in planning events, working alongside others in a team, and his determination to engage in a community, he is ready to experience what it’s like to be a part of the UCSF HEAL Initiative!
