Adeline June

Adeline June, MPH is Dine’ and lives in Window Rock, Arizona. She is a DrPH Student at the University of Arizona Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health; her focus is Maternal and Child Health, with a minor in American Indian Studies. She is also working full time at the Gallup Indian Medical Center (GIMC) as the Zero Suicide Initiative Project Coordinator. The Gallup Indian Medical Center is the largest Indian Health Service Unit in the Navajo Service Area.  Her research interests focus on AIAN maternal and child mental health, suicide prevention, and Adverse Childhood Experiences.  She believes that health interventions should include indigenous knowledge and is implementing traditional healing treatment services at GIMC.
