Shailesh Prasad Shrestha

Shailesh Prasad Shrestha from Kathmandu, Nepal. With dreams of serving his community, he completed his medical school (MBBS) from Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences, Dhulikhel, where he was further inspired by the noble goals and visions of his alma mater. He worked in Dhulikhel Hospital as a medical officer and had the opportunity to serve and provide care during the Nepal earthquake in 2015. He completed his Post-graduate (in MDGP) from Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara, Nepal. During his residency, he had the opportunity to serve in rural community hospitals which further inspired him. After completion of his post-graduate, he re-joined Dhulikhel Hospital and is currently working as a General Practitioner and Clinical Chief in Dolakha Hospital in rural Nepal. He is excited and humbled to join the HEAL initiative family, where he hopes to learn, share and grow and be able to better serve his community.  Outside of clinical practice, he enjoys swimming, hiking, admiring nature and trying new delicacies.
